About
I’ve always enjoyed being active, and competitive swimming was a big part of my younger years. I loved the training, the challenge and that feeling of getting stronger, which led me to study Sports and Health Sciences.
Life then took me in a completely different direction into the world of wine. After completing a Diploma in Wine and Spirits, I spent 20 years working in the industry, combining a busy career with competitive swimming, open water events and the occasional triathlon.
After having my third child, I found myself naturally drawn back towards health, fitness and nutrition. This time, though, I was looking at them from a very different perspective. I became fascinated by how training, nutrition and recovery can support not just performance, but long-term health and everyday wellbeing. I also became increasingly interested in how much of the traditional fitness advice out there doesn’t necessarily work for everyone.
Today, alongside being a mum of three, I’m a competitive Masters swimmer, currently ranked in the UK top 10, and a runner who incorporates strength and conditioning into my training. This year, I’m bringing my two favourite sports together to take on my first aquathlon, with the long-term goal of competing for Team GB.
Food is another big part of my life. I love cooking for family and friends, and I believe nutrition should be about balance rather than restriction. For me, it’s about eating food that supports your health and training while still being enjoyable and realistic enough to fit into everyday life. Ultimately, my approach to fitness and nutrition is pretty simple: I want to help people feel stronger, healthier and more confident, without feeling overwhelmed by extremes or unrealistic expectations.
